Are Your GoPro Videos Lame?
And you won't/can't learn how to edit video yourself? Why not pay somebody? Probably for a few dollars extra they will include a couple of orcas or a bald eagle and also make all your friends look gorgeous.

29 Palms To Camp Rice
I made this video yesterday. Part of my motivation was to get out to Camp Rice and see what sort of a state things are in since the solar power company came in, did a bunch of work, and then pulled out. It's almost easy to miss as you're driving by. They've got the ground all glued up so that at a quick glance it looks like desert varnish...except there isn't any desert varnish in the area of Camp Rice. A few thousand soldiers will do that to desert varnish. I point it out when I get there in this video.

Coxswain's View
With a GoPro camera mounted on the coxswain, we are able to watch Michigan rowing in the 2014 Head Of The Charles Regatta. It's a nice tour of the Charles River and we get to hear how a coxswain talks. I see they are doing some major work on the Anderson bridge that connects the business school to the main campus...of Harvard, do I need to say Harvard?
But if you want a shorter video with dramatic music, here's Bucknell.
This map shows the stretch of the Charles that they traverse.

Holiday Lights
Kicked up another notch so that they can only be truly appreciated if you have a drone and a GoPro.
This seems to be conveniently nearby in Yucaipa. Map.
Here's another video shot after dark.
Meanwhile, in Queensland people are improving the appearance of their holiday lights by vandalizing street lights that are on 240-volt lines. That's one way of doing it.

Name That Camera
The President gets his 3D portrait taken using "eight high resolution sports photography cameras." I am not sure why there is hesitancy to name this profitable product made by an American camera. Those aren't Sonys!

Crown Prince Lookout?
Yesterday, Thanksgiving, I went up to Joshua Tree and did a little hike near Jumbo Rocks. I was trying to find the Crown Prince Lookout that I thought we did not find last April. I might have gotten there - or not. I was in the area that the hiking guides point to, but I didn't find any indication of any sort of human encampment there at all. Last April a few of the guys hiked to the top of those rocks east of where I hiked today, and they did find some 20th century manmade stuff up there. Anyway, there were pictures:
This might be part of the view from Crown Prince Lookout.

The complete set of photos is here. Or this link will get you a slideshow of the complete set.

Bungee Jumping Without A Bridge
All you need is a hot air balloon, some rope and, apparently, a GoPro or two - in 4K.
If you prefer wetter photography, here is a hydroplane race with multiple GoPros - but not 4K.

World War II MIAs and GoPro
The Battle of Peleliu took place from September 12, 1944, to November 27, 1944, although it was not until April 22, 1947, that all of the Japanese soldiers on the island surrendered. The island, occupied by 11,000 Japanese, was attacked by about 18,000 Marines. 1,794 Americans died in the battle, with 8,010 wounded or missing. Japanese casualties were considerably higher: 10,695 killed and 202 captured.

The Bentprop Project is "dedicated to locating and assisting with identifying American prisoners of war and missing in action from World War Two in Western Pacific Islands." In this effort they have been assisted by Scripps Institution of Oceanography-UCSD and the University of Delaware. They believe there are 70 to 80 recoverable MIAs in the coral reefs at Palau.

Motorcyclists Using GoPros To Launch Their Legal Troubles
The video from the motorcyclist's point of view. This is on 680 in Milpitas. The light is not favorable for reading license plates, but it's my understanding that there are some people in California who know how to enhance video.

GoPro Selfie Mounts
Of course, they can be used for more than selfies, but if you're going to spend $55 on an upgraded stick, then you are planning to use it for selfies. I might prefer something cheaper, but these GoPole products have some extras that might make them worthwhile for you.
Remember that guy who went down in the sort of "easy" plane "crash" in shallow waters not far from the beach on a Hawaiian island? Did you marvel (as did I) that he never dropped his GoPro during the crash or while swimming around waiting for a rescue? He was likely using a GoPole product. So, if a selfie of your near death experience is what you want to record, this is where to put your money.

More Power
Just in time for the previous GoPro model, Brunton introduces the "All Day" battery to extend the battery life of your GoPro Hero3+. For $50 you get a 4000mAh battery that can be attached to your Hero3+ that's supposed to last up to four times as long as the standard battery. They note: "This model All Day is only compatible with the Hero 3+." Since I'm not sure exactly when they wrote that, I don't know if it means "won't work on the Hero2" or "won't work on the Hero2, Hero4 or Hero." Spend your money and let me know.
