Canon Announces No New DSLR Models . . . Ever
"Canon CEO, President and Chairman, Fujio Mitarai, confirmed the EOS-1D X Mark III will be the company’s last flagship DSLR camera." IOW, they will not be advancing the line. All their creative energy will be going into mirrorless cameras. So it's not the end of Canon DSLRs, at least not yet.
