A Dutch Burgin

This is mostly in Dutch, but it's understandable, nonetheless.

Burning Man has not announced either ticket prices or ticket dates yet, as they are still chewing over the new Nevada "entertainment" tax. But they have promised to give us some facts real soon now. One of the suggestions is just to blow the whole thing off this year. And that suggestion was not dismissed out of hand.

Do you suppose they paid anything to Camp Walter for those images?

A photo of the VW booth at one point on the CES show floor;

Here's one of Ednixon's photos that shows the map to "Festival." They do also name the Black Rock Desert, so everybody should be able to figure it out.

It would be great if a couple of car manufacturers would test their self-driving cars on highway 447 on the Sunday when Burning Man opens.

A lot of cool photos of older VW vans on the road. Reminds of graffiti I saw on the sign at the top of Lippincott Road on the way to the Racetrack. Someone claimed to have driven a VW van up Lippincott Road. So outrageous, I want to believe it.

Here's an item. At CES in Las Vegas on Wednesday, January 6, VW introduced their "Budd-E" electric mini van. Self driving capabilities were shown for the 240 mile range of the new concept car on the touch screen of the vanlet as a map going from San Francisco, thru Sacramento, and on to "Festival" where footage of Camp Walter was shown. So the New electric VW is made for, um, "Festival".
