Marijuana Notes
- Scott's Miracle-Gro has acquired General Hydroponics Inc. and Bio-Organic Solutions Inc. The acquired companies are said to be popular with those who grow marijuana.
"So while we think Scotts is paying a full price for the company, it should be a company well-positioned for growth with below-average risk, especially if marijuana continues to be legalized in more states," [equity analyst Jim] Barrett said.
- Willie Nelson will be coming out with his own brand of marijuana: Willie's Reserve.
- In Indiana the First Church of Cannabis Inc., which uses consumption of cannabis as a sacrament, has filed the paperwork to be recognized as a non-profit. They say that Indiana's ban on marijuana substantially burdens the exercise of religion of the church members.
