Plug n' Play Camp With The HypnoYacht

The new year is here and that means it's time to start the Kickstarter campaigns for various Burning Man projects. First out of the gate is Hypnosis Camp. A "qualified therapeutic hypnotist," Mark "Marcus" Baker, and his faithful companion, Lucy, will provide daily public group hypnosis sessions on the playa. They need money to modify their stage and to travel from the UK.

They give, as usual, gifts in return for donations. And here's the top one, which makes this Kickstarter a bit unusual, I think:

Pledge £2,500 [$4103.25 today] or more

0 backers Limited (3 left of 3)

Stay in the HypnoYacht Black Rock City. We'll take you from San Francisco to Burning Man on the 31st August and back again after Burning Man in the HypnoYacht and you'll get to stay with us in luxury and comfort with access to hot and cold running water, HypnoYacht toilet, hot shower, food and drinks. You'll tell us what you do and don't eat - you'll lend a hand in the spirit of Burning Man, but have most of the preplanning sorted out for you. We can even provide interesting costumes for you to prowl the Playa in. Price quoted is for one couple or single. The HypnoYacht will probably be a "Class C Freedom Elite Deluxe Double SlideOut X-31S" this year. Choice of berths in order of booking. If there are more booking it will be a larger vehicle.

Estimated delivery: Sep 2014

If this appeals to you, check the dates with them first. Burning Man in 2014 will be from August 24-31, Labor Day being September 1 this year. They promise a delivery in September and to travel from San Francisco to the playa on August 31. That'd be great if (1) they wanted to do just one hypno-session before the temple burned, and (2) you could get onto the playa on that day with tens of thousands of Burners trying to leave.

Don't miss the potential bargain aspect of this. It's $4103.25 for a couple or single. I assume that's because the limiting factor is bed space. So bring a friend and your price becomes a trivial $2051.63 each.

The two necessities they don't promise to supply for you are: (1) a ticket and (2) a bike. So deal with those.

My CEO is looking for a plug n' play camp this year. I'd really like him to go as it can change the culture of our company is such a positive way. Please let me know if you are accepting more campers. Thank you!!
