Big Turnout For Today's Study Session

It was a record crowd, far exceeding the previous record that was set when the city considered enlarging the redevelopment area. Experts estimated 150 people managed to get inside the Carl May and we heard there were people who stayed outside, too.

I'll get tonight's study session of the Desert Hot Springs City Council written up in a few days, but if you want to listen to the audio recording it's available here for download (20.7 MB). The meeting lasted less than 90 minutes. I don't believe I heard the words "fiscal emergency."
