Golden Hour On The Pacific Coast
Here ya go, the video from the dome of the Silver Lariat, from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles. Actually it got too dark to shoot before we got to L.A., but I turned on the camera again just as we were entering Union Station.
We left Santa Barbara at about 7 PM, so this is all golden hour, the whole sunset view all along the coast. I especially like the long, long line of RVs parked on the shore beginning at about 27:45. When I rode California AIDS Ride 2 in 1995, we came along there and I was just stunned. What, you can park your RV right on the coast and just camp there?! What a country. Can't do that in Massachusetts.
There is, of course, more dirt on the window because I'm shooting through a forward facing window on the dome. The visibility varies with the lighting. Next time I'll bring something heavy to just break out the glass for a clearer shot.
