The Comet PANSTARRS
Sky watchers may be treated to an interesting sight this evening as Comet Pan-STARRS pairs up with the thin crescent Moon. To see the pair, look for the crescent Moon very low in the west beginning some 20 minutes after sunset. Comet Pan-STARRS should be just to the left of the Moon. The comet may or may not be visible to the naked eye. Using binoculars will greatly increase your chances of seeing this evening's celestial encounter.
