Burn Music/Photos/Projects/More
Music of Burning Man. A 34-minute MP3 put together by MoreDillon who says "This is what I took away from Burning Man 2010 in terms of music. These were the tracks I heard the most on the playa, the songs that made me dance the hardest, or the anthems that made everyone go crazy." It does sound like Burning Man, but to make it more realistic you should play this on at least a couple of different devices offset from each other by 5 or 10 minutes, because you never hear just one thing at Burning Man. Once you've got it going like that, you need to have a friend with a big container of talcum powder stand behind a big fan that is blowing at you full force. When he dumps the talcum powder into the fan then you'll begin to get an idea of what it really sounds like.
100 photos by Scott London. Yes, of course, they include some nudity. To enjoy while listening to the music.
Possibly coming to the playa this year:
The 11:11 Peridot Portal.
The Tunnel Of Questionable Enlightenment.
And on a totally unromantic point, Burning Man is launching a new service this year: shipping containers to store your stuff. You buy it for $2,500. They store it somewhere in Washoe County and you pay an annual storage fee of $500. Then you pay Burning Man $300 to bring it to your site and take it back after the burn. Ideal for big camps with a lot of stuff. Saves fuel and avoids the risk and hassle of transporting your crap all the way from Timbuktu every year.
