Russell Betts's Campaign Finance Reports Filed
The Desert Sun buried it in an article entitled La Quinta mayor may retire, which actually covers news in several different cities.
Desert Hot Springs Councilman Russell Betts' campaign finance reports that were due in October were finally approved last week.City Clerk Pat Hammers sent out a note on Oct. 29 with all the other candidates' reports but said Betts' forms had "several errors" and she gave him until Nov. 9 to turn it in.
On Nov. 12 – you'll notice that's after Nov. 9 – the revised forms were turned in sans signatures from the mayoral candidate or his treasurer.
Last Thursday, Hammers reported the issues were resolved.
