DESERT HOT SPRINGS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE ARCHITECTURAL AND LANDSCAPING REVIEW COMMITTEE

The City of Desert Hot Springss is accepting applications for the newly created Architecture and Landscape Review Committee (ALRC). The ALRC is responsible for making recommendations to the Planning Commission on all new development proposals to the City. The Committee is tasked with reviewing the architectural design and style of the bulding along with the landscape plan of the development. The Committee's review is intended to assure quality design in the community.

The Committee consists of three (3) members appointed by a majority vote of the City Council The terms of the Committee members shall be as follows: two (2) members (Chair snd Vice-Chair) having two (2) year terms and one (1) general member having a one (1) year term. Members of the Committee shall be, to the extent feasible, licensed by the State of California in architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering; or have expertise in urban planning, and; may or may not be residents of the City.

The ALRC will meet at 2:00 p.m in City Hall on the first and third Thursdays of each month. The recommendations of the Committee shall be advisory only and not binding on the Planning Commission.
