Walter Luce
I wondered aloud to my friend Karl Baker about what Walter Luce, CEO of Mayer-Luce, looks like, just so I might be able to recognize him if I passed him in the aisle at Stater Bros. — although I guess he probably prefers Vons. Karl went and found this photo. It's 20 years old, so I guess I need to imagine a little gray brushed in that hair.

It's a real picture, all right. I've forgotten what he was arrested for, but you know when you're a risk-taking entrepreneur it's easy to run afoul of all sorts of silly laws about fraud or taxes or forgetting to pick up after your dog.
Is the EPA interested in Mr. Luce, too, or is this a personal curiosity?
