Anza-Borrego By Jeep

Wednesday I rode along on a Great Outdoors Jeep trip in Anza-Borrego. We started down in Ocotillo Wells (did you know there are a lot of ocotillos there?), made our way up to Arroyo Salado, then Truckhaven, and then tacked on a bonus trip to the calcite mine area. On the way we saw a lot (A LOT!) of flowering ocotillos, three oases (1, 5 and 17), Borrego asters (which I will now admit are different from Mecca asters), and even some dry elephant trees.
