Bostonian Dies In Skydiving Accident

Stephen Millard Harrington
Stephen M. Harrington from Boston died yesterday in a skydiving accident west of Murrieta, California.
His parachute was open, but it is not known if it had deployed correctly. He may have hit the tail of the aircraft when he jumped. This was his second jump of the day. Earlier he had participated in a jump with 67 others to set a record for largest wingsuit formation. There were two witnesses standing about 100 feet away from where Mr. Harrington landed in a driveway. NBC LA includes this helpful, clarifying information:

"They actually heard him come down," a paramedic said. "They said it sounded like a jet plane crashing. People who saw it looked up and saw the body fall."
