Mt. San Jacinto Peak Again

In order to test some new equipment acquired for upcoming hiking in Yosemite, Darrel and I went with Greg yesterday to hike to the peak of Mt. San Jacinto...the easy way, by taking the tram first. Even so, it's about 12 miles round trip with a net elevation gain of about 2,000 feet.

More photos here.

The new equipment worked great. I came out of it a little stiff, dusty and in mild pain.

Do you like the peak as well as Wellmans divide?

We're "goats" for sure, not sure about the "mountian" part.

The thermometer at the tram station said 80 degrees, but it always lies. In any case, I was sweating the whole way.

Hi Ron, just out of curiosity, what was the temperature up there?
