In a great leap forward, the Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District board chose longtime district employee Dr. Branka Lothrop to be the new General Manager, finally bringing the Don Gomsi era to a complete and utter close. Dr. Lothrop is a scientist. Don Gomsi was a tennis player.
