Log Cabins Bend Over To Take Another One For The Team
The Log Cabin Republicans, behaving like that guy who always goes back to the abusive relationship, have endorsed McCain for President. Their reasoning seems to be that McCain is one of the few people in the party who will actually talk to them, and certainly their non-Republican friends have given up on them long ago.
The Bay Area Reporter rather unnecessarily points out that only 6% of the delegates at the Republican convention favor legalization of gay marriage, and that the party platform explicitly supports "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and the Defense Of Marriage Act.
I looked to see if the Republican Liberty Caucus, lonely cousin to the Log Cabins, had also endorsed McCain. They have not, but what I did find was a page with more examples of distorted aspect ration than I've seen anywhere else...in case you want to go look and see what I mean by distorted aspect ratio. I suppose "liberty" can be stretched to include even ugly liberties.

Gays have too many issues to see a good candidate when they see one.
