The Fork Has Been Put In It: CVMVCD vs DHS

Word is in that the final settlement between the Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District and the City of Desert Hot Springs has been signed, carved in stone, and finally finalized. CVMVCD will be paying DHS something on the order of $77,000 for legal fees.

Fellow Councilman Karl Baker was too modest at Tuesday's council meeting when he accepted vindication for his efforts at the Mosquito Vector Control Board. He endured a very vicious attack and stood his ground. Many in the face of that would have said enough. Many having been through what he had endured and having won would have stood up on their chair and shouted, "I won. They lost. They are wrong. I am right." He would have been perfectly right had he done so. Good Job Karl!
