$5 Million Judgement Against Westboro Baptist
U.S. District Court Judge Richard D. Bennett awarded $5 million in a suit against three principals of the Westboro Baptist Church [warning: you probably don't want to click this link] and last Friday ordered liens on the Westboro Baptist Church building and the Phelps-Chartered Law office. If upheld, the church and three principals would probably be forced into bankruptcy.
The $5 million judgement came in "a lawsuit filed...by Albert Snyder, the father of Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew A. Snyder, whose funeral was picketed by church members."
