Gomsi To Speak

General Manager Don Gomsi will be allowed to publicly answer Brian Passaro's accusations at tonight's special meeting of the board of the Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District. The board meets at 6 PM at the district's headquarters in Indio.

This past Saturday, Indio police questioned Brian Passaro for "nearly two hours." In that same article, Robert Mann (who was the district's public information officer, but is out on stress leave pending a worker's compensation claim) describes some of the inappropriate work Gomsi ordered him to do on the public dollar. Besides counterfeit Pacific Life Open passes, Mann also created parking passes for the Pacific Life Open and business cards for the spa business of Gomsi's wife, Mirella.

UPDATE: In this Desert Local News article, it says that some of the porn accessed by Gomsi during work hours may have included underage models. I hadn't seen that reported anywhere else, and Brian Passaro certainly didn't say that in his public comments.
